A massive amount of Harlem Chocolate Factory products have been made with Dave East playing in the background, so we were glad to participate when the collaboration presented itself. Sometimes, the stories of Harlem can be narrow and leave out just how vibrant our community is. We have a range of experiences and talents. 

My first batches of cookies were made for my students at an afterschool program just a few blocks from 1199. It can be hard to translate the love we have for each other in Harlem,  but the joy those cookies brought to my classrooms laid the groundwork for what we've built today. This collaboration is an ode to 1199, and every dream started on the Eastside.
